At St Ann's CE Primary School we recognise that each child has unique qualities and abilities. Children may have learning; physical, emotional/behavioural or social needs which may require special support or provision over the long or short term. Their needs are identified and assessed according to the National Code of Practice and help is provided in school, or sometimes from outside agencies for those who need it. The school policy on pupils with special educational needs is available to parents from the school office.
All staff at St Ann's are committed to meeting the needs of all children with SEND and the school will make reasonable adjustments to accommodate all children where practical. The LDBS Academy Trust ensures provision reflects the SEN Code of Practice 2015 and the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
The diagram below shows our whole school approach to Special Educational Needs.
If you have concerns about your child's rate of learning or development, speak to your class teacher or make an appointment to see Miss Parker - SENco and Leading Practitioner for Inclusion.
